Marcel Wanders

Born and raised in Boxtel, Netherlands, Marcel Wanders became a famous designer in 1996, thanks to Knotted Chair. This chair have become his most iconic product, made for Droog Design. He collaborate - and continues to work with - the most important European contemporary design brands; moreover, in 2000, he founded his own Moooi studio, which he soon acquired international fame. The distinctive feature of Marcel Wanders is his thought towards a more tailor-made design. Starting form the careful to recognize the past and the cultural differences, Marcel Wanders develops his own style, focused on the post-modernist era called the "Contemporary Renaissance of Humanism."
