Slide Art in Cap-Ferrat
Sasha Sosno’s sculptures at an en plein air exhibition in Cap-Ferrat
Are you planning your holidays? If you are on the Côte d'Azur, we suggest you to spend a few hours on an en-plein-air art walk: in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, near Nice, there is a great exhibition of Sacha Sosno’s works during summer time.
Three years after the death of the famous artist, his widow Mascha decides to give him a tribute, in order to satisfy one of his wishes. As Sosno said, in fact, it is necessary to bring "sculpture in the city, out of the ghetto of the art galleries. The best gallery for sculpture is the road and the beach".
Sacha Sosno's sculptures: some works of the exhibition are realized thanks to the collaboration with Slide Art
Two works of the exhibition are realized thanks to the collaboration between the great artist and Slide Art: Tete Carree Aux Aretes and Venus, made in lacquered polystyrene. The artistic philosophy of Sacha Sosno is "Obliteration", so the cancellation of part of the work: hide to see better, creating empty spaces that allow to see through sculpture and give the spectator the opportunity to astonish and to use his imagination.
